The Lineman Print
The Lineman Print
Limited edition giclée print of The Lineman from The Jobs of Yesteryear Series.
Linemen have been stringing lines around the globe since the telegraph was invented back in the 1840s. Since switching to electrical lines in the 1890s, their profession has been one of the most deadly with one in three dying of electrocution during the most unsafe period. Many safety devices have been developed (along with the revolutionary cherry-picker), but the lineman’s job at its core remains unchanged: keeping the lights on.
